LISA BATTISTA

Lisa grew up in Canton Ohio, a Midwestern town famous for William McKinley and violent crime. Lisa failed to distinguish herself in high-school wandering across the country as an itinerant clerk, restaurant server, and church pianist. Eventually she graduated from The University of San Francisco at 35. By then, Lisa has become well networked with a number of regional law firms and, seeing a market for her skills to help protect the powerful, she attended law school at the University of California Hastings and graduated in 2007.  

Lisa claims her “work as an attorney has been in the areas of employment discrimination and legal ethics.” Despite these claims the only public cases she’s worked on have been corporate cases where she helped defend corporations against each-other or the state.  

“97 percent of civil lawsuits settle without going to trial; I have been very successful in achieving consensus” Battista boasts on her CROWDPAC page. What she doesn’t say is that these sorts of settlements are often completed out of the public eye and with the wealthier, more powerful party in the case having the scale weighted heavily in their favor.

Lisa Battista says that she’s gone up against the biggest firms and the wealthiest clients and prevailed. What she doesn’t say is that she’s gone up against the wealthy corporations for the wealthy corporations and if the public record of her work is to be believed all she’s done is prolonged the shell game they get to play with eachother’s money
